it's supposed to be a modern spin off the original movie, and both annie and daddy warbucks happen to be african american
and people are making really racist comment about how annie and warbucks were white and they should stay that way
and then like, grace and warbucks fall in love at the end and according to this movie, grace is white, and ugh interracial marriages always get people so steamed for some reason
it just looks like a really cute movie and jamie foxx is warbucks (if you don't love jamie foxx we can't be friends sorry I don't make the rules) and I love annie in general and I'm really excited and I really wish people would get off the whole race issue because it really doesn't freaking matter.
I am curious of how they're going to change the lyrics to 'a new deal for christmas' if they're going to change at all, because the line 'I know the depression's depressing' isn't exactly relevant to 2014 and 'I know the recession's recessing' doesn't fly by too well
