not really but that's what it feels like
we just finished up a bunch of flannery o'connor stories and I swear to god what the heck
and we just stared rosencrantz and guildenstein are dead and I just?????????? What even is this play????
and my teacher is one of those guys who overanalyzes EVERYTHING so we're talking about how we know that rosencrantz and guildenstein are dead by the end of hamlet, but he's all like "OR what if they're already dead and that's why statistical impossibilities are in fact possibilities, because they're not in our universe??? After all the title of the play is rosencrantz and guildenstein ARE dead, as in present tense????"
like that's a cool concept or whatever but seriously how long did it take you to sit there and come up with that just to pick out tiny words to overanalyze

like we were reading really normal stuff like wuthering heights and frankenstein and hamlet
and then flannery o'connor swings by and somebody steals a girl's prosthetic leg and an entire family including a grandmother gets murdered and a jerk leaves a deaf/mute girl alone in a diner and you're just like "whA T DID I JUs t READ"

same man
my teacher really likes flannery o'connor and I guess it's interesting in a grotesque kind of way, but it's not something I'd ever read for fun
