I'm actually kind of freaking out. This place is one of those thrift store/check cashing/rent payment/we do layaway ordeals, mostly offbooks, and definitely privately owned. There's no written schedule, the register is ancient and most of the buttons' words have been hand written, like everything else in the store. All that I could get used to, but as of next week I will be running the place entirely by myself. The neighborhood isn't terrible. On one side of the store is a tattoo parlor, on the other is a gym. My aunt said they are the type of guys that are big and burly and terrifying, but don't you DARE mess with any woman to her displeasure because they WILL make their presence noted. I like those type, so I will feel fine. And they said David's always welcome to come up and help. But I'm used to a system. Come in at the time written on your schedule, clock in at the computer, a manager will tell you either register or runner, and you are good for the rest of the day. I know the owner told me some days, and a time for one of them, but I need it written down. I'm just really nervous omg.

Thank you. cx I'm not TOO worried. My aunt is the one training me, and it took literally nothing to get me the job. All he asked is if I was honest and if I'd be available on Fridays, and that was it. Job was mine. xD Plus, apparently he's so laid back that he trusts his employees to run the store, and only comes in on pay day to pay everyone. He's never written anyone up, and if you don't get all the clothes put up during your shift, no big deal, you probably had customers or other stuff to deal with. My favorite part though is I do get to pick my hours. Not this first week while they're training me, but afterwards. They'll give me keys so I can open, and I can choose to stay until closing or leave whenever.
