like you shouldn't pretend you like astrophysics JUST because he's pretty
I mean not gonna lie he's the one that really opened my eyes to astrophysics and encouraged me to do a lot more research in the field, and his face is definitely a bonus, but it's not like I'm ignoring everything he says in his documentaries just to look at his butt on screen because that's just really rude, and you know, I'm a big fan of "if you say you're a fan, you're a fan" but I'm so serious when I say that "astrophysics is boring but brian cox is so pretty omg!!!" does not make you a real fan. He's so much more than that.
