omg i have to tell you all about them they're my faves uh tw mental illness, drugs, claustrophobia, and emotional abuse???
okay so it's kind of a long story but basically when isa and i had this long canon era roleplay and when it started out we got Azelma's age wrong b/c neither of us had read the brick yet and we thought that she was way younger than Eponine so we put her at like two years older than Gavvy and so during the course of the roleplay (which was literally over the span of like eight years- nobody died au) the amis became like older brother figures to her especially Jehan and Enjolras since Jehan taught her to read with like poetry and stuff and Enjolras fueled her fire when she decided that the patriarchy was bullcrap and she was going to go to college and write about the flawed system. ANYWAYS we were like oMG they're like her older brothers all heckie is going to break loose when she gets a boyfriend so FAST FORWARD A COUPLE OF YEARS and she meets this kid and he was supposed to be an butthole and break her heart but THEN WE GOT ATTACHED TO HIM WHOOPS and that kid was Dominique Bertrande and we kind of got attached to his family too but they weren't even supposed to exist but WHOOPS they did.
the Bertrandes are this super rich family like super rich the Dad is a banker man and they have like EIGHT boys because Mom is metal as heck even though she's kind of a butthead and dad's a butthead too but like the two oldest boys are Silvain and Gaspar and they're like in their thirties and in the navy and Silvain has three daughters who are cute as fuck and he's basically like the perfect child does whatever Daddy wants and stuff but Gaspar's like this angry dude but he has a wife and he loves her more than he loves anything p much and THEN THERE' S LARUE who is a law student and GUESS WHAT he goes to amis meetings and after the barricade he had kind of awful ptsd but overall he's a chill pretty nice dude kind of sarcastic and witty and he eventually got with Courfeyrac in ours but yeah and then after him there's Marceau who's a grade A buttnutt like he goes out and does opium and hash with ladies and he parties too much and he's really mean to Dominique because he's kind of jealous that Dominique and Larue are so close???but yeah he's really mean but Mom and Dad love him and spoil the heckie out of him b/c he's a favorite. and then there's Dominique who's a sweetie lil cutie pie we must protect him at all costs b/c he's a lonely lil dude and his parents don't really like him because they wanted him to be a girl and Marceau's really mean to him (there was an incident when they were little when he locked him in the crawlspace and like he was covered in spiders and crap and now he's claustrophobic YAY not yay) and like he's not the sharpest tool in the shed but only because he's a kinesthetic learner and they didn't really nurture those types of people back in the day??? but like he's an amazing fencer and later on in the roleplay they sort of discovered he had a talent with like music and stuff but yeah he's a sweet lil cutie pie and THEN THERE ARE THE TRIPLETS Leone, Durande, and Roche, and they're loosely based off the triplets from Brave since they're redheaded and mischievious lil devils but they're the babies so they're pretty spoiled and whenever they do something bad they don't get in trouble b/c they're little angels according to the mom but they'RE NOT so yeah that's the bertrandes and they're all kind of tall and lanky except for Gaspar and Marceau who are short and muscley and they all have like reddish brown coppery hair except for Larue and Marceau who are like white blonde and they're so effing cute sO YEAH
