after lunch to have the opportunity to watch team canada's gold medal hockey game
and there was an announcement on the PA like "team canada's olympic gold medal game will be streaming in the gym for those who want to watch"
SO ALL THE CLASSES PAUSED
UNTIL THERE WAS ANOTHER ANNOUNCMENT LIKE
"CANADA WINS GOLD 3-2 NOW GO BACK TO CLASS"
AND I JUST
WE PAUSE SCHOOL FOR OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL HOCKEY MATCHES.

Ah, why can't all schools do that? Once I remember they were like "Uh, we're going to have a lock down drill" so none of us took them seriously. Turns out there was a hostage situation just down the road from the school and there were people with guns and stuff. So yeah, my school likes to tell lies over the PA.
Why does your school sound so much cooler??

we're deprived of sunlight up here so we need something else to keep our spirits up
also that sounds stupendously unsafe LOL. i'd far rather they overplay than downplay a situation like that.

HAHAHHA. That made me laugh more than it should've
Yeah, they ended up keeping us at the school for another hour. I usualy get out at 2:27 and I was walking out of the school at like 3:30. It was scary. But yeah, the police were there and the entire street was blocked off. I was like some drill, god damn.

when my dad was a kid in taiwan someone would bring a radio into the classroom during baseball season and they'd go along doing class while listening, but if something really exciting was happening, everybody dropped what they were doing and crowed around the radio because frick education when you have baseball
and kids would be running into all the classrooms with their teachers like "whAT'S THE SCORE"

my dad's life in taiwan was dumb and pathetic
he and his friends broke windows playing baseball in the street and fought over the end slices of the bread like how lame could you even get
