GENERAL:
- Ally: cisgender, heterosexual heteroromantic person who advocates queer rights. NOT a part of the LGBTQ+ community
- Dysphoria: the feeling of discontent with one's body/gender and the gender roles society expects them to feel
- Gender expression: how one wishes to express their gender identity
- Gender identity: how one feels towards their own gender
- Intersex: someone born with primary or secondary sex characteristics that do not match the male/female binary
- Queer: someone who falls outside of conventional gender and sexuality as defined by society. AKA, anybody who is not cisgender heterosexual heteroromantic. May be derogatory depending on the person, please be considerate
- Questioning: the act of being unsure of one's sexuality and/or gender
GENDERS:
- Agender: does not identify as any form of gender
- Androgynous: someone whose biological sex is not apparent or someone who rejects traditional gender expression
- Bi/polygender: identifies as more than one gender, either at the same time or on a flux, not necessarily all in equal proportions
- Boy: identifies as male regardless of the gender assigned at birth
- Cisgender: agrees with the gender they were assigned at birth
- Demiboy: identifies either partly or sometimes as a boy
- Demigirl: identifies either party or sometimes as a girl
- Dmab: designated male at birth
- Dfab: designated female at birth
- Genderfluid: someone whose gender fluctuates, or someone who is a blend of more than one gender at the same time
- Genderless: does not identify as any form of gender (conventionally synonymous to agender)
- Genderqueer: Umbrella term for someone who does not adhere to the binary
- Girl: identifies as female regardless of the gender assigned at birth
- Neutrois: non-conforming to the binary
- Non-gendered: does not identify as any form of gender (conventionally synonymous to agender and genderless)
- Non-binary: identifies outside the binary
- Transgender: does not agree with the gender they were assigned at birth
- Trans man: designated female at birth but now identifies as male
- Trans woman: designated male at birth but now identifies as female
SEXUALITIES:
- Allosexual/alloromantic: someone who experiences sexual/romantic attraction and does not identify within the asexual and/or aromantic spectrums
- Androsexual: attracted to masculinity
- Aromantic: does not experience romantic attraction towards others
- Asexual: does not experience sexual attraction towards others
- Bisexual: experiences sexual attraction towards members of the same gender and members of different genders
- Demiromantic: only experiences romantic attraction after forming a deep platonic bond
- Demisexual: only experiences sexual attraction after forming a deep romantic bond
- Gay: one who identifies as a male and is also attracted to males (tentative: some females and non-binary people also identify as gay)
- Grayromantic: only experiences romantic attraction sometimes or dependent on the situation/person
- Graysexual: only experiences romantic attraction sometimes or dependent on the situation/person
- Gynesexual: attracted to femininity
- Heterosexual: attracted to people who are a different gender than they are
- Homosexual: attracted to people who are the same gender as they are
- Lesbian: one who identifies as a female and is also attracted to females
- Lithromantic: experiences romantic attraction towards others but does not necessarily desire reciprocation
- Pansexual: experiences sexual attraction towards members of all genders
- Quoiroromantic: confused by romantic attraction, often cannot distinguish between platonic and romantic attraction
- Polyamorous: experiences attraction towards more than one person at a time and may form relationships with more than one person at a time
- Recipromantic: does not experience attraction until they know someone is interested in them first
- Skoliosexual: attracted to nin-binary individuals
