I tell my mom I want to major in english and she tells me "whatever, it's your life" and I'm like AWESOME
but then my parents downplay everything I do and keep saying "see, this is why our kid doesn't want to major in science anymore" and basically guilting me into continuing to pursue med school
but NOOWW my mom is trying to get me out of med school??? Like "oh if you go to grad school you can be a TA and get your tuition wavered but probably not if you go to med school and it'll be really expensive. Like I'm not trying to discourage you from going if that's what you want, it's just something to consider"
I don't understand what she wants from me like jfc I want to major in english and education but on a pre-med track, that way if I decide not to do pre-med I can become an english teacher, but if I decide to go to med school, I'm freaking going to med school like heck, I'm not asking my parents to pay for any of it, I don't care if I'm a million dollars in debt, I'd be doing something I enjoy doing plus doctors get paid a reasonable amount anyways, screw those doctors who keep complaining about not getting paid enough.
