"...but everyone tries so hard to grow up so fast."
You're a junior in high school and you're in the prime of your life? That's all the better it's going to get? You peaked during your junior year of high school and you'll never get any better than that?
That's very unfortunate if I'm being honest.
Sorry kid.

Generally 16-24 is considered sort of the prime, and that everything is pretty downhill from there. Also, a LOT of people peak their junior year. Being an adult sucks. Junior year was certainly my best year. Wish I could go relive it.

I wouldn't say prime of life lol.
I'd say it's the time where you can be the most carefree, selfish, and to a degree irresponsible without it being an issue.

junior year was THE ABSOLUTE WORST WORST WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS GOING DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE WORST YEAR OF MY ENTIRE LIFE I WANT IT TO JUST DISAPPEAR
I've heard so much about high school being your golden years and just, jfc I hope not because high school sucked so bad
and my dad says that college is in fact supposed to be the best years of your life, so I'm counting on that because if my life is only supposed to go downhill from high school I'm going to be very very upset

I just don't feel like it's the "prime" because you're still trying to figure yourself out and finishing puberty and you just have so much pressure. There are so many better things after high school to look forward to
I just don't get how lifting weights all day every day can cause you to be at the"prime" of your life
Idk I don't agree with it
I'm with the people who think college years are the prime of your life idk

junior year was the pinnacle of stress for me. I had no free time because I was constantly studying and enrolled in the worst chem class of my life and I had the threat of my very near future looming over me the entire time, and adults were constantly warning me that one wrong move could destroy me forever. I was just, to put it lightly, not in control of my life, and I did not like that feeling.
things got exceedingly better after I finalized which college I was going to during second semester senior year because I finally got that weight lifted off my chest, and really all I have to do now is get through college and that's just really reassuring. So hopefully these next few years are going to be my golden ones??

same! junior year was just too much for me with my mom almost dying, balancing 3 ap classes, had a partying problem, and so much more. maybe i am just looking at what the guy said in a different point of view.
i'm with you, everything got better senior year and i hope college is even better!
but i dont want to peak at these years
i want to achieve great things and i feel like the most important, satisfying, and self-fulfilling will fall later on
i guess it is different for everyone, i just feel like junior year isn't the prime for most people because we have the potential to get so much further
