my dance concert shows for two nights, yesterday and tonight, and tonight we had the hehawks perform, and they're basically this group of male cheerleaders who do pretty inappropriate things and everyone loves it for some reason, so my parents decided to go yesterday instead of tonight
WELL
tonight we had senior recognitions, where all the seniors walked across the stage with their parents, and I was the only senior whose parents didn't come both nights and I was the only senior who didn't have parents walk across the stage
and I just, I don't understand why my parents can't just do that for me, why they can't just suck it up and brave a five minute dance so they can walk with their kid during freaking senior recognition.
"It's not a big deal" it kind of is when I'm awkwardly standing up on stage all alone while everyone else hugs their parents because I feel like mine don't support me enough to even go to my freaking show. They've been complaining all year about driving me all over the place for rehearsals and shows and it makes me feel really terrible and it just seems like they don't care.
