I won't forget about her, but I kept forgetting to mention her.
She was soooo precious. Maybe about 5 or 6.
She came in with her mom, who was a sweet lady and I did my preliminary questions: "Hi, can I help you? Have you shopped with us before? -if no, tell them the specials, if yes, tell them TODAY'S special and ask if they've got a coupon-" The lady said she'd shopped with us before, but didn't receive a coupon despite qualifying for it, so I told her I'd apply the coupon to her purchase today and made sure she left with one. The coupon is for half off all clothing over 99 cents.
That made her really happy, and meant she could get more stuff for her daughter.
Before they walked back to the kids section, her daughter turned to me and said, "Are you guys gonna go out of business?" but in the cutest way. We just laughed and told her no.
I was hanging and tagging clothing by the registers, and every five minutes the girl came to talk to me.
"Do you know how many dresses I'm getting?"
"No, do you?"
"Yup! Mommy's getting me 3 dresses so I can be a princess!"
-grabs 25 cent toy tiara and hands it to her- "Well you can't be a princess without this."
-excited- "I'll ask my mommy to buy it!"
"Tell your mommy it's free for you."
After that, she insisted on having me see EVERY SINGLE DRESS she tried on, with the tiara, and it was soooooo cute.
Her mom was so nice about it too, and told me I was the best worker she'd seen there. She didn't come often because the last time she was there the manager ignored her for two hours when she needed help, but during our checkout she wrote down my schedule and said she'd be back during those times. cx
I've seen them once since then, and they've always been sooo sweet.
