it's on a monday and my dad refuses to miss work
and he's trying to justify it because it's "not important" and "my dad didn't go to my graduation either"
and man, it is important. High school was the worst four years of my life and graduating is a big deal for me, and it's like he's not proud of anything I've done. He won't go to my art shows, he just looked at me really angrily when I accepted UMBC's offer because I couldn't get into a better school, he's constantly practicing music with that violin player and leaving me in the dust, and I don't know how much harder I have to work to get him to be proud of me. Or like, he doesn't even have to be proud of me, I just want him to be my dad and go to my freaking graduation.
