I love David and wouldn't trade him for anything, but I do miss being an ROTC Girl. I don't know if this is used everywhere, but in my school district there was a popular category for people in ROTC. ROTC Man - Really into ROTC and will definitely join the military ROTC Boy - Not that into ROTC, taking it because it's a PE credit without work, or they aren't sure about the military ROTC Woman - same as man ROTC Girl - same as boy
Typically if you were an ROTC girl you were seen as fragile and weak and both the boys and men would fall over each other trying to protect you. Sometimes it was in a big brother manner, other times it was because they wanted your affection. I used to love that. It happened a lot my freshman year. If I did something wrong or didn't know how to do something and the instructor would yell at me unnecessarily, every guy in the room would jump down his throat about maybe he should teach instead of yell?? And if I didn't like bugs and there was a bug they would race to kill it. I remember when band was selling candy, a lot of the guys in my class and other ROTC classes would buy all the rotc girls a lot of candy. This happened to the ROTC women too, but not as often because they weren't in the regular classes. They were in the rifle team classes and the physical training classes, usually with the other rotc women.

It's not. x3 It's Recruit Officers Training Corps. It's basically a class that gives you a feel for what the military would be like. Different districts have different types. Mine was Army, but one of my friends who transferred in was in an Air Force one. ^^
