Yesterday my grandma found out that even though I've had my permit a year my mom refuses to teach me to drive.
I had to go and cover for my aunt today for two hours(at our job) so when she came to pick me up she tossed me the keys and said, "You have your permit on you, right?"
I drove the whole way home in moderate traffic with lots of traffic lights and even reversed out of a parking space for the first time and I FREAKING PARALLEL PARKED AND WAS ONLY A FEW INCHES FROM THE CURB AND SOOOO FAR FROM MY UNCLE'S CAR.
And unlike my mom she was quiet the whole time and told me I was doing just fine, and as long as I stayed in my lane I would be okay. She was so sweet and comforting and made me feel really relaxed and oh my god I loved it and I love her so much for it! I feel like I learned a lot in one little 8 minute drive!!!
